New project navigation : failing on a subset of projects

Most odd this ...

On a couple of our projects of we access them via the 'Agile'  menu we see the old style menu and not the quick access side bar.

If we access these projects via the 'Projects' menu then we get the new style view with sidebar.

As I said, just on two out of many projects.

Any advice as to how to fix this?
