Not able update existing issues using CSV import in JIRA on Demand(Cloud) version

I need to import JIRA issues periodically from another JIRA instance to my JIRA instance.

First time, I could import all the issues successfully in my JIRA using JIRA Adminstrator->System->import/export->External System Import option.

Next time, When I try to update the existing issues using the same above process, it has failed to import. The import log says "only new items will be imported".

Am I missing something? How do I update the existing issues using CSV import in JIRA (cloud version).

Hey @valli Lakshmanan Did you manage to solve this? I'm running into the same problem and can't figure out what to do?

 

I strictly want to just update existing issues but it keeps failing and the logs say "only new items will be imported". Any luck on you end? Thx
