Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I am evaluating Insight by Riada for a customer. They currently don't have a unified Asset Manager and moving to a single solution would really add value. They currently use ServiceNow for bits and pieces of management, but much of it is manual.
They would be looking to feed Insight data into Jira and Jira Service Desk. (duh)
Here's the question:
They are a Microsoft shop with a couple different tools currently used to monitor systems and image pcs.
Would I be able to feed that information into Insight? I poked through the docs but didn't find anything about custom data sources. I'd be grateful if anyone is able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Sounds to me that these tools are used to store various systems' information on a periodic basis. Do these tools have the ability to perform a scheduled CSV export? If yes, then you can configure Insight to import that same CSV on a scheduled basis. You do not need to worry whether duplicate assets will be created, as Insight has the capability to detect and ignore existing entries. The only thing you would need to worry about is whether this CSV file is accessible by Insight (needs to be stored on an accessible file storage service).
Another option is to use the Insight Discovery to perform the monitoring for you. But I'm sure you have looked at that before coming here! :)
