Prevent automatic reopen on comment

I've never seen this before but in one of my workflows, closed issues are automatically reopened when a user comments on them. We don't want this behavior but I can't figure out where to turn it off.

You could have the Auto Transition Listener from the Jira Toolking Plugin configured, and that could be causing this. Can you check your listeners configuration? Just choose the cog icon at top right of the screen, then choose JIRA Admin. Then choose System > Advanced > Listeners (tab) to open the 'Listeners' page.

Thanks! There is a custom listener doing this. I inhiereted this project and I never would have thought to look there.
