The Sprint Backlog is created when you 'create' a sprint in planning mode. You then drag the container over issues you want to see in the Sprint backlog. You can have multiple sprint backlogs ready to go. The unscheduled issues then are in the 'Product' backlog
Anything which is not yet scheduled in Sprint is Product BacKlog. In fact it is inclusive of the items already scheduled. So all issues(Stories, Epics, Themes, Fetaures) in Project are Product backlog. May be you create a FILTER and save it as Product backlog.
