Hi Community
today i've tried to modify as usual, a status on a workflow,
I've added for a status "Allow all statuses to transition to this one" and then publish.
After 10 minutes i've tried to remove "Allow all statuses to transition to this one" but jira display the followig alert
"You can't edit this workflow right now. Project administrators can only edit workflows that aren't shared with other projects."
this issue occcurs for all project.
Could someone help me on this issue
Having the same issue. I'm a JIRA admin on JIRA Server 8.11.
The workflow I'm editing is "Inactive" but it doesn't let me remove a status from it. I keep seeing the message that reads "You can't edit this workflow right now. Project administrators can only edit workflows that aren't shared with other projects.".
Any workaround would be amazing.
Thanks!

Hi Joe
I'm a Jira Admin but I'm not able to delete a status in every project.

If the workflow is shared between projects you can't do it in the project. You need to manage the workflow through the workflow tool. Then to publish it

Hi Joe
I've checked and the workflow seems not been shared from other Project.
Before we were able to delete a status, then after a problem with db space (disk ful), we are no longer able to do this. :(

It's possible the DB problem messed something up. I would try re-indexing and if that doesn't clear up the issue open a support ticket with Atlassian

I am having the same issue and wondering if anyone has found a resolution to this. I am the JIRA admin and trying to delete one status and one transition from a workflow that is inactive but I keep getting the message ""You can't edit this workflow right now. Project administrators can only edit workflows that aren't shared with other projects." Thanks for any help on this!

Hello, either the existing workflow scheme is now being used in more than one project or the workflow is in two active workflow schemes. You should be able to check that from the workflow and workflow scheme tab from the admin view
