REST API call

Paulina Mijal May 23, 2022

Dear all,

I wolud like to connect an aplication with my Jira instance. I would like to generate a call from Jira when a ticket will change to specific status. The "call" would start a new process in different application. Is it possible?

Thanks,

Hi @Paulina Mijal ,

Indeed it's possible, this is what webhooks are for! You have to configure a webhook in your Jira to notify your app when the ticket changes to the specific status.

Hi @Paulina Mijal ,

You are looking for webhooks!

However, sometimes is not so easy to start working with webhook. For this reason, I strongly recommend checking the documentation below to understand more about how to use webhooks on Jira:

Please check the documentation carefully and let me know if you are properly able to configure it.

Kind regards,

Carlos
