Adding a JQL to "Quick Filter" on Boards page does not display Sub-Tasks, only Stories are displayed

border_water November 8, 2019

I added a JQL to "Quick Filter" on Boards page, but it  does not display Sub-Tasks, only Stories are displayed.

My JQL is like this :

assignee in (user1, user2, user3) and type in (sub-task, story, defect)

Thanks

Hi,

Does the same ocurr when configuring 'Swimlanes' as No Swimlanes?

Take into account that if you are grouping issues and their parent dissapear, subtask won be displayed.

@border_water , Check the filter you are using for the board itself. That's the gate keeper for what actually shows on the boards. The quick filters are for further filtering the initial data set (issues). If you aren't pulling in subtasks to the board, the quick filter won't have any impact. -pjd

@Peter DeWitt

You are correct that Quick filter is the filter on what is there.

How do I see the Backlog in the Board with stories and sub-tasks ?

Thanks
