Boards dropdown view

Ricardo Caeiro June 27, 2018

Hi all,

We have 1 release board in a release project which is active in Jira and separately we have different Jira software projects with all their own development board. I want to make sure all projects can see their own development board (which they can already see), but also list our release board within the software projects (when clicking the dropdown area under boards). So that when our developers are working in their own projects, they can easily switch from their own dev-board to our common release board.

I can see all Software boards appearing inside the release project, but cannot see our release board from within the different software projects.

Hello @Ricardo Caeiro

In the board configuration section of every board in the "General" tab there is a section called "Projects in board" which lists the projects whose issues are displayed by the board.  So the option in JIRA (3 dots) displayed under the project's icon displays the "Boards In the project", these boards contain the issues from the respective project. Thus in order for the software development projects to have release board then the JQL for the release board must include the issue from these projects only then jira will show them.

Also, there is a "dropdown area" under the board web-item in the top global navigation bar. In the drop-down you will only see the boards which you are currently working on or have visited in the near past thus if your devs haven't visited the release board in the recent past then they won't see it in the drop-down.

iHi Tarun thanks for replying, but that was not my solution. I forgot some JQL statements inside the boards filter i didn't see.

Thanks anyway
