Can Bamboo trigger a Jira transition?

A user wants Bamboo to initiate a Jira transition (In Progress -> Resolved) when a Bamboo build is released to QA.

After googling the topic, it looks like Jira can trigger Bamboo actions but not vice versa. Is that correct?
