Can the Sub-Ticket (child) have another project than its parent?

Hello,

I search for a solution to create Sub-Tickets (childs) for a project which is not the same like for the parent.

The use case is the following:

Project A: only for Issue Type Problem Reports - without their Sub-Tickets visible

Project B: the Problem Reports from Project A but with their Sub-Tickets (from Project A)

I think out of the box it is not possible. But it there a plug-in, or are there possibilities with the script? And are there any further consequences, like validation, closing, assignment, ....?

In JIRA the sub-task type can only be created under the parent so it will always be in the same project.  The only way you can simulate what you want is to create new issues in project B linked to the related issue in project A.
