We're on Jira cloud and i have project admin privileges. I cant seem to find a way to add an issue type or edit/add a new workflow to my project. What privileges do i require to do that?
You really should have this conversation with the Jira Administrator of your system. There's just no way we can get the detail we need to instruct you.
Again, in classic projects you cannot do this without jira administrator permission.
Sure, but as a Jira admin i'll have access to make changes to all projects in the tenancy, is there an option that i create a workflow (with Jira admin privileges) and then associate that workflow to a specific issue type in a specific project? Or will it apply to all project in the tenancy.

Or do you intend to say that with Jira admin privileges i'll be able to add workflows to my project only.

Only next-gen Projects can create issue types and workflows without the administrator, with Jira Administrator permission. If you are using classic project types, the Jira Administrator must assign the workflows, already created, to your project, before you can edit them.

Is that a global permission? If so, how could the admin provide some one global admin privileges when you own just one project.
