Cannot log into JIRA board

Hi There,

I cannot log into my JIRA board on Chrome, I am getting the following error "Check that your browser allows third-party cookies and then try again using the button below...". I have checked my cookies settings and it allows the cookies and I have even tried other browsers also but I was not successful.

However, I am able to log into my Atlassian account on my colleagues PC and we have the exactly same settings.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Vivek

Hello, Vivek.

Since this is specific to the machine that you are currently using, may I suggest if you are able to clear off the cache, cookies, and history of the web browser that you are using according to the page here and let me know if it continues to fail?

Sometimes, it can also be related to the third party add-ons that you have installed for the browser too. Can you disable them if you have any and verify if you are still facing the same problem when you try to access your boards?

Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Hi Ahmad, thank you for responding to my query. I have tried blocking and unblocking the third party cookies but it was still unsuccessful.

Maybe I will try to uninstall google chrome and see if I can access the board.

Hi, Vivek.

You are welcome and thanks for the confirmation on the cookies. What I was actually referring to was the addons within the browser itself. May I know if you have installed any? You can check this from the extensions menu.

Can you also clarify on what you mean by blocking third party cookies as well? I would like to understand that step better to see how it is being done and see if it is related to the issue we are discussing here

Additionally, please let me know if the process of uninstalling Chrome as well. Thanks.

Hi Ahmad,

Trust you are doing well. I have tried the below solutions, nothing worked.

1) The third party cookies, please refer to below screenshot.

2) I have checked the extensions, it is the default one, I did not install any extensions.

3) Uninstalling Google Chrome.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Vivek

Hello, Vivek.

I performed some research on past cases and the process of clearing the cache, cookies, and history seemed to help as I suggested earlier using the steps listed in the article here.

May I also know if you are running JIRA Server / JIRA Cloud? If you are running on Cloud, can you please ensure that the following domains are added to the third-party cookies exception?

  • atlassian.com
  • atlassian.io
  • atlassian.net
  • jira.com
  • id.atlassian.com
  • aui-cdn.atlassian.com
  • common-admin-cdn.atlassian.com
  • <your atlassian Cloud URL>

Let me know how it goes on your end.
