Is it possible to change the initial event notification "Issue Created," to use a different event notification when a new JSD request is submitted based on a custom workflow associated to a specific Issue Type?
We tried to change the Notification to use "Requirement Drafted" in place of the Issue Created notification in a custom workflow, and updated the Post Functions, but the Project Role that was assigned to the "Requirement Drafted" event is not being notified that a new request has been submitted.
Due to corp policy, we cannot use any additional plugins, so that is not an option.

Hi Victor, thanks for your response. Our Jira admins have been able to create custom events for other transitions within the custom workflows and they work great. The only one we can't get to work is using a custom event to replace the 'Issue Created' event. Any ideas why we cannot use a custom event for this?

I believe you can edit the Notifications not the Event.
