Hello, Guys!
Task has a button "Log work". So we can use two types of time tracking of logged work:
- Estimated
- Logged
Is it possible to create two custom fields in "Task":
- custom field that contains of sum of all estimated hours
- custom field that contains of sum of all logged hours
If it is possible, how can these custom fields can be done?
Version of Jira is 7.9.0.
The sum of all estimated and logged hours on what? On a project? Keep in mind that any kind of field like this would appear on an issue and probably wouldn't be very useful. You can probably use the reports like the Time Tracking and User Workload reports to get some time tracking data by user, but if you're looking to get the time tracking data for an entire project you'd need another app like ScriptRunner or Tempo Timesheets to aggregate the data
Eric Lemay, thanks for question! I need custom fields for Task.
For example, Jon has a task to develop "create user" operation. The task has two time criterias:
- estimated hours. For example, the value of estimated hours is 8 hours(estimated hours).
- logged hours. For example, Jon wrote log that he did this task for 10 hours(logged hours).
Then, Jon said to team lead that he needs extra 8 hours(estimated hours) to complete this task. Then team lead added 8 hours to estimated hours of the task.
However, Jon managed to complete the task faster and he logged 5 hours(logged hours) to the task.
Then project owner wants to see in these custom fields the following values:
- custom field of estimated hours (16 hours)
- custom field of logged hours (15 hours)
Is it possible to create such custom fields of task?
