Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Just wondering if there is a big difference between the evaluation license vs. the full license. Our subscription ran out while we are waiting on a license key from our reseller so I'm thinking about temporarily using a trial license key but I want to know if I'm going to mess anything up by doing that? Or will everything work the same once I put the renewed license key in?
In my experience, Scriptrunner trial licenses for DC have no feature restrictions.
They are only time-bound. After 30 day, the app is locked until you either renew the trial or purchase the app.
This is correct, as long as the license is valid and not expired, trial or otherwise, the full app functionality is enabled in Data Center.

Yes there is a big difference between Trial and full license as lot of features are not available in the trial one.
I hope this answers your question.

I'm not sure that's the case for Data Center. A trial license in DC gives you full access to everything, but the license automatically expires after 30 days (although you can typically download another trial license)

@Matt Parks I am in DC and didn't have a full access to the available features while using trial license.

@Matt Parks it seems that some vendors give you full access when others don't

Interesting. Every time I've downloaded a trial license, I've always had full functionality.
Although I've never used the trial version of Scriptrunner because I've always worked at places where it was already paid for.
Does anyone remember when Scriptrunner used to be free? I think it was around 2015 when they started charging for it.

@Matt Parks I have a free version in cloud but as far as DC like you said even company I worked for had a paid license.
While working for a partner I downloaded trial licenses to find out later that not all features were available.

Trial licenses for ScriptRunner Data Center have all functionality enabled, we do not restrict any of the app during a trial (not in our best interests).
Restrictions only apply when a license expires or is otherwise invalid, in this case the app will cease to function.

Thank you for the clarification @Reece Lander _ScriptRunner - The Adaptavist Group_
It was confirmed by another community leader that not all vendors release all App features for a trial version
