Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×In the old view of Jira, we could link Web URLs to take us to websites, or (more oftenly used in my case) to shared documents in Sharepoint or OneDrive or OneNote. The new view does not allow this functionality as far as I can tell.
We used to create a Sharepoint document store for each Epic in our Jira Project, so that we could collaborate and not have to keep uploading / downloading docs in the attachment space in the Jira ticket.
So, my question is basically, is this existing functionality going to be available in new Jira, or do we need to continue using old Jira for ever?
Many thanks all!
Web URL linking functionality is still available in Jira inside `Link panel`, and you can visit to given link from issue page.
Thanks for the update DPK J. If I try to add a Link though, from the top shortcut, I only get shown the options to link to another Jira ticket. I can't see any other Link Panel on a ticket. What am I missing?

oh! I guess you have migrated to 'New Issue View' on your cloud.
You can't do this in 'New Issue View' yet. You need to go back to old issue view and you can do it (I was on old issue view).

Thanks DPK J. Yeah - sadly I'm over in the new view at the moment. Was hoping the Web URL linking functionality would be coming to the new view soon, as we use it a lot. :( Guess I'll have to continue to keep switching for now. Thanks for the replies though. :)
