Dynamically change jira report tables in confluence

Hi, I am trying to create a report for a periodic round up meeting, which displays the previous [x] weeks worth of tickets/issues that have a resolution date within those [x] weeks.

Creating the JQL, and using the jira macro I am comfortable with, and currently have the jira macro displaying simply

resolutiondate > startOfWeek(-3w)

So in the above case, [x] is 3, as the round up meetings usually always happen within a 3 week period. However, sometimes they happen weekly, sometimes they happen bi-weekly.

I was wondering if there was a way to put a field/radio button/something in the confluence page that the reporter could update, which would then be used in the jira jql, so that the user could determine how many weeks back to view?

Thanks.

Mitch.

Hi Mitch,

I see this solution:

  1. Set the JQL to show the maximal expected period, let's say 5 weeks.
  2. Wrap Jira Issues macro with Table Filter macro.
  3. Add date range filter for Resolution column.
  4. Set the "from" field of the date filter to "-3w" by default.
  5. You can change the -3w value when viewing the page dynamically.

Hi @Andrey Khaneev _StiltSoft_  and thanks for your response.

I'm afraid I won't be buying any special plugins for this, but that does appear to be a solution for those who can buy the plugin.

Thanks again.

Mitch.
