Empty gadgets in Jira when using Edge

We just upgraded Jira from 7.3.8 to 7.10.2. After the upgrade gadgets on Dashboards started to show empty results sometimes. Or rather, they showed a "#"-sign. My findings so far:

I have asked the users to use Chrome until further notice. Unfortunatly the company uses Edge as a default browser.

So, any ideas on this? Anyone who has had a similar experience? Anything that can solve this is of interest.

Hi Mattias,

I see you're looking into this issue with our support team, and are currently exploring your IIS configuration settings as the suspected cause. If you could update this if you determine the cause - we'd love to share the result with the rest of the Community!

Cheers,

Keri

Hi,

I think what might cause this problem is Output cache settings. We started to encounter another problem as described here, https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Users-randomly-logged-in-as-other-user-how-to-stop-this/qaq-p/299322

We followed these steps and the problem with empty gadgets was also solved. So, the steps are:

  • On the IIS-site, go to Output cache > Edit feature settings
  • Uncheck "Enable cache" and "Enable kernal cache".

Hope this helps if someone else has a similar problem.

Regards
