Welcome to the Community!

We have no way of knowing.  We know less about your Jira than you do.  It's certainly not a standard Jira-speak term, so I suggest you ask the people who are using it or set it up (you haven't told us what it is - project key, acronym, name of a project, something people are typing into text fields, etc)

Thanks for your welcome !

Under FFFS I create a price quotation for customers.

In my opinion it could be an acronym created by Jira developers, but still do not know what is the real meaning, or why it is called like that.

Maybe even name of a project explains the creation of FFFS

It's not something created by Jira developers, it's something you have got set up in your system.

A dashboard is a customisable and shareable reporting place, which can have all sorts of displays and reports on it, but these are all chosen by the person who creates the shared dashboard (the default system one has to be designed by the system administrators)

So, my guess is that you have something on your dashboard that is displaying something about FFFS (I'd guess FFFS is a project key/description too).

That is something that has been defined in your Jira, by your users (admins if it is a project key), and we, the community, have no way of knowing what it means.  We're not your admins, and most of us don't even use your Jira.

You should ask other people using that Jira, even the admins, what it means.

hi @Peter Daniska

I don't really get your question.

Do you mean the meaning of FF, SF, SS and FS

Peter Daniska January 27, 2022

Hello Ismail,

I mean FFFS in Jira system dashboard.

Do not know about mentioned acronyms FF, SF etc.

Please can you give me some backround on these ones ?

Thank you.

hi @Peter Daniska

They are called schedule dependencies; they are links, and one task depends on the activity of another.

- FF means Finish to Finish, so if you have two tasks M and N, and task M precedes task N with an FF link, then it means its only when task M ends that task N will be able to end.

- SF means Start to Finish, let's use task M and N again. If task M precedes task N with an SF link, then task N can't finish before task M starts. This one is kind of weird, I kept thinking about it for a while.

- SS means Start to Start, if task M precedes task N with SS, it means its only when task M begins that task N will be able to begin

- FS means Finish to Start, if task M precedes task N with FS, it means its only when task M finishes that task N can begin
