Get the list of JIRA projects count accessed by each jira User

Hi

We are attempting to obtain a report from JIRA Software to determine each user's usage of all Jira projects (for example, creating issues and commenting on issues).

We are currently analyzing the report and based on it planning to move some projects to the JIRA Service Desk.

Is there any way to retrieve the aforementioned information from JIRA using a tool or a SQL query?

Thanks,

Vasanta

Well you could data mine something out of there and you could also use access logs in conjunction which would result in something resembling a "most probable" list - but it would be incomplete, plus it would take quite a while to build it depending on how accurate you need it to be.

Altogether though I have doubts about the use case, Service Management or Software are entirely different projects with entirely different ways of working. User traffic has nothing to do with what the project type is, rather, I would argue it depends on what the project does, why it does it in this way, and what would be more comfortable for any parties involved in it. User traffic won't help you in making any of those decisions, the project lead or admins should know why they chose either JSM or JSW, and I assume it's because either they develop something (backlogs, boards), or they work an IT/Support (portals, request forms).

Hi Radek,

Our use case is to minimize user licenses. We intend to use JIRA software exclusively for developers, and for other departments already using it, we will analyse the report above to determine whether to shift it to JSD or keep it in JIRA.

Thanks,

Vasanta
