Hi, is it possible in jira software, that when a transition happens a mail gets prompted to somebody. I already know about the events and notification schemes, but it just sends a mail telling the previous status and the new one. Can we send some more descriptive mails.

ScriptRunner provides a post-function for sending a custom email on using the transition where it is set.
