How to change users' email address?

I want to change all Jira users Email accounts.  We set this up to use the users email name, CompanyNameinteractive.com, for security. I want to change that from CompanyNameinteractive.com to NewCompanyName.com.

Is there a way we can replace each users security with the new email address and have that account maintain the security to their documents and content?  

Also we are using Jira "Data Center" with OKTA

Okta handles the email addresses for users, so you need to consult that really.

p.s. It's not OnDemand now, it was renamed "Cloud" many years ago.

Updated as we use data center version not cloud...   and I was thinking that OKTA will control this but not sure how Jira will handle email change as I have users that have alias that dont always work.
