How to export and import some issues?

Hi all, 

we are using JIRA (Server) in our project and would like to provide just some of our issues (Epics) to one of our customers (also using JIRA). 

Which is the best way to somehow export from us and import the issues to another JIRA-Server? Via XML-file?

Doing a whole backup of our Server is not an option.
