Hi,
Can someone please tell what are the different ways that I can integrate Tableau with Jira?
One i know that it is possible with All-In-One Tableau Connector, but i need another way as the plugin seems to be very costly.
Thanks,
Nikhil
Hi Nikhil - did you take a look at this thread over in the Tableau community?
https://community.tableau.com/ideas/3658
It mentions some alternative approaches to the All-In-One Tableau Connector add-on. In particular using the JIRA REST API to get data and then formating for Tableau.
There are some knowledge people over there, so perhaps it would be worth you asking some questions on that thread too.
Yes i did saw this but dis not find the step by step procedure for integrating. It only says what all was done but how t was.
Could you please tell me how to do the integration practically?

Hi Nikhil!
The easiest way to Integrate Jira with Tableau is by using third party app Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/analyze-jira-with-tableau). This integration isn't implemented directly, there is one additional step - loading data to a DB or a cloud DWH of your choice.
By the way, Skyvia is Jira's partner, you can find it on the Atlassian marketplace.

Hi, Elias
Effective?
I'm on a project integrating JIRA with Tableau Server.
This looks good to me, do you have any more setup info you can share?
Thanks,

You can try our add-on https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221376/tableau-connector-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview
It supports a wide range of Jira data configuration to export any field you wish: Jira tables and fields, including Custom fields, History, Jira Service Desk, Tempo Timesheets, Tempo Planner, Portfolio for Jira, Agile, and others.
