Is it possible to not send notifications to a single user?

Gaven Ray June 3, 2019

We are using Jira 7.8 now and switching soon to 7.13.3. We have a service account that gets a lot of use and it has begun throttling gmail to this user. It is the reporter on a lot of tickets being created via email and the API. Is there a way to block email going to just that service account without removing reporter from the notification scheme?

If I'm understanding correctly, the service account is creating these issues, and then becomes the reporter. Jira then sends the email out to the service account that the issue was created? Or was it some other trigger?

If it's the issue being created by the service account, log in as the service account, go to your profile, click the pencil to change your preferences, and set "My Changes" to "Do not notify me"

Thanks that pointed me in a good direction. I have also now disabled the auto watch setting.
