Is there an updated "Guide to Asset Management" available?

I am looking to setup asset management to track our equipment using Jira.  I located the "Guide to Asset Management" that can be found here.  However the guide is built on using Simple Issue Tracking as the core for asset management.  This feature is no longer available.  

Are there any guides or blogs that detail creating an asset management tool in Jira using the current tools?

I don't have an updated version of a guide to asset management to hand, but our own solution may help you as it supports inter-linking issues and assets, as two separate entities.

Thank you @Aidy Love.  Unfortunately my organization is using the Cloud instance of Jira.  It appears that the Asset Tracker for Jira is not available for our version.
