JEditor prepopulate based on field

Is there a way to trigger a prepopulate description field with a template, based on the choice from a drop down list?

Example:

Dropdown list has options A - C.

If A is chosen, it will show template A.

If B is chosen , it will show template B.

etc

Thinking right now my only option is an addon with JS.

Hello,

You would need an add-on for it. For example, you could use the Power Scripts add-on:

There is a feature, called Live Fields, which will let you do what you want.

Thanks! Do you know how I would call a Jeditor Template in a script for this?

Do you mean Jeditor from the JEditor - Rich Text Editor for Jira plugin? If so, not sure. I never worked with this plugin.

Correct.  When I reference a template, I mean a specific html setup within the description field.
