Jira - Missing sidebar icons and loading spinner that won't go away

Hello,

One of my users pointed out that some sidebar icons are missing in all "Software" projects.

Also, for projects that contain a "Backlog" category, there's a little loading spinner in the middle of the page that won't go away. This does not seem to affect anything beside being annoying.

Restarting our Jira instance and doing a reindexation did not solve the problem.

I was hoping I could get some hints before I go more in depth.

I will gladly offer more details if asked.

Hey there Christian, there's a few things that popped into my mind that may be affecting this : 

* Does the problem still persist if you were to use a different browser/use incognito mode? 

* Do all users see the same thing (missing icons)?

These will help us identify if this is related to the user/machine directly, or affecting the entire instance/site. Also, what version of JIRA Server are you on? Were there any changes recently?

* Do all users see the same thing (missing icons)? Yes.

* Also, what version of JIRA Server are you on? Jira Server 7.11.2

* Were there any changes recently? We updated to 7.11.2 a few weeks ago, but I can't say if it's the cause of the problem. We're in the process of making major changes to our instance since many users have too much permissions. I will ask around if changes were recently made to add-ons and such.

Issue was fixed by updating Jira Software, which was not at the same version as the core.

Heya Christian, glad to hear that the solution worked for you! :) I was trying to find if there was any known issues about this but you reached the solution before I did.
