I recently created a new Kanban software project board to combine the issues created in two separate boards. I have a filter set up - project in (Board #1, Board #2, Board #3) ORDER BY Rank ASC.
Everything works just as I want it to except that it is not showing the “Open” (Newly created issues) from Board #3. Which is odd because it shows all the issues from Board #3 in the other columns that I have created – In Progress, Approved, Rejected etc. I do not have this issue with showing the issues from the other board.
What could be causing this issue? Board #3 is a Business Project while the other boards are a Software Project. Could this be a workflow issue?
Okay this may sound stupid but, but I had the same issue and the solution was one of this
Is your board filter set correctly, this new issue is in status "open" or some custom status, check your Unmapped Statuses on Column management
I don't think that project type matters, as far as I know, boards work based on filters.
I'm sorry if my offered solution is too obvious, I'm just a beginner, but I'm just writing from experience every time I had that kind of problem the issue way filter or Unmapped Status

As @Olga Videc mentioned, check your query and check your column management (board/ configure/ column).
A board is a view of the query return based on the board configuration. "Open" status from board #3 should be mapped to the Kanban board in column management. If it dwells in the "Unmapped" column, then users cannot view those unmapped "Open" status issues.
