the original estimate is 3 weeks. The team logged in 1 day. The remaining hours should change to 2Weeks and 4days but is remaining at 3 weeks. Please help to figure out why the hours are not getting deducted from the remaining estimate based on the logged hours.
Example:
Project-GIVV
issue-GIVV-12323
WHEN I check GIVV-12323,estimated-3w ,Original-3w,Logged-1d
it contains 3 subtask
1 subtask-I mentioned worklog -4h ,estimated and remaining not specified but logged -4h
2 subtask-I mentioned worklog-4h,estimated and remaining not specified but logged -4h
3 subtask-I mentioned worklog-4h,estimated and remaining not specified but logged -4h
but not reflecting in parent(GIVV-12323) these subtask hours. Please fix this issue.
It looks like you put the estimate on the Task but logged work on the Sub-Tasks, this will not work as there is no estimation on the sub-task. You either have to spread the estimation on the Sub-Tasks or create an automation that will push the log to the Task or even just tell your team to log time on the Task.
Thanks @Igor Dugalic
When you log time for the first time, the time spent is subtracted from the original estimate, and the resulting value is automatically presented in the remaining estimate. When subsequent work is logged, any time spent is subtracted from the remaining estimate.
But issue --Remaining is not resulting value is automatically presented in the remaining estimate.

But this is not what was in the screenshot that you provided. Can you take a screenshot of the 2 worklogs that you mentioned?

Hi @tharun ,
Do you have 'Adjust Automatically' selected, as described in this article?
