×We have a need for something I'm not sure is possible without an add-on.
We need to send an email containing a survey link to the ticket Assignee when a step in the workflow is reached. The complication is that the email must change depending on the issue - each issue would link to a different survey.
For example, say we were working on an issue named "Blue Circle". The email being sent to the assignee would contain a link to say, survey.com/bluecircle. But then for another issue named "Red Circle", the email would contain a link called survey.com/redcircle.
Any ideas if this is possible without an add-on?
Hey @Ricky M ,
Maybe you should check out Email This Issue by Meta-INF. I think that this app may be what you're looking for :)
Hope it helps!
What defines when to use blue/red? Is the survey presented to the customer via a link in a comment? What I am wondering is if you can add use automation to add a comment when the issue is transitioned to a specific status. If you use a custom field or maybe component to designate blue/red link. This is where I would start and if I came up short I would look to addon e.g. Automation for Jira, Power Scripts, Scriptrunner.

It would change depending on every single ticket. Each ticket will have a different name, a code name if you will. Two tickets will never be the same.
