Set up email-to-case for JIRA

Matt Curran January 11, 2019

I want to enable the ability for users to email their IT issues to an email address and this to automatically create the ticket for them in JIRA. I have followed the JIRA guide and created the email address but it does not seem to be working. Are there any solutions. Thanks.

Hi Matthew,

Creation of email address only will not help. You need to configure incoming mail service  (IMAP / POP)for jira. Then create email handlers to do actions based on your incoming mails.

Follow the instructions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/creating-issues-and-comments-from-email-861253784.html

While setting mail handlers you get an option to test, please check if you getting any error there.

You can follow some more detail level diagnosis steps here:
