I'm using SmartChecklist with Jira and I integrate it with Automation addon. Basically, I'm auto-creating subtasks, in each of the subtasks I added smart checklist using custom field Text Field (Multi-line). The validation should be I cannot move the sub-task to done unless all items in the checklist we're checked.
I already added a transition validation for done
according to this https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHK/pages/144015403/Validate+before+transition
But it seems even I check all the items from the checklist and move the issue to done. It's not validating.
Is it because I used a custom field as a smart checklist?
Hi @Allen Chun,
Thanks for your report! Can you please confirm that along with "Checklists" custom field to store the add-on content you have also configured "Smart Checklist Progress" field as described in instructions that you refer to.
If/when you do that - try to check/uncheck checklist item and make transition again.
Thanks,
Pavel Pavlovsky
Product Manager of Smart Checklist
Hi @Pavel Pavlovsky _Railsware_ I tried to rename my custom field Text field (multi-line) from Checklists to Smart Checklist Progress but the items are not showing now in an issue. According to the instruction, I need to rename my field to Smart Checklist Progress to work with the transition validation.
So to summarize here's what I did:
1) Rename the custom field to Smart Checklist Progress
2) Added a transition validation that all items should be checked off before moving to done.
3) Define the items in the smart checklist progress using the automation
4)The items defined from the automation is not showing in the issue-detail-view. even I re-index the whole project/system.

@Allen Chun, thanks for detailed report!
I see some inconsistency in your configuration.First of all you don't need to rename a field.
You do need 2 fields:
So, please
Cheers
