Hi Team,
We have a requirement to implement integration between JIRA and COPADO tool.
For the connection we need to create one user account that should access REST API and projects. Should we keep any restriction on this account ?
Basically we want to know for the integration user account which type of access it needs and which type of user account we should create ?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Regards,
Lakshmi
An integration account like this should be granted only the permissions it needs to do its job.
There are only really two "types" of accounts in Jira - customers (very limited access, only to the portal) and Jira users. If your integration only needs portal access, give it a customer account. If it needs to do more, then it will need to be a Jira account with permissions to use the projects and functions it needs to.
Hi Nic,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Could you please tell me that if we create 'JIRA USER' account for our integration this account will get an access to REST API ?
Regards,
Prasanna
