Hi @Devendar Gangapuram and @Abrar Ali

Are you using the REST API to create the issue? Or are you using a plugin, and if so which?

Is your Jira instance Cloud of Data Center?

Details like this are needed for us to provide help.

There are also multiple plugins available in the Jenkins ecosystem to integrate with Jira. Jenkins Integration for Jira being one of them. It has an automation feature that will allow you to run rules based on Jenkins build results, including creating issues with customer field support. I am the developer of the app.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi @Devendar Gangapuram ,

Did you find a solution for this?

I am looking for something similar where the users can add the Jenkins Build number to Jira ticket.

Hi @Abrar Ali ,

Yes, found it. Create a custom filed(ID:  customfield_10701) of type text field and , BAMBOO side use the  variables like below.

${bamboo.planName} - ${bamboo.buildNumber}\", \"customfield_10701\":

This works for your scenario. Let me know, in case any further help needed.

Thank you,

Dev G
