Updating a JIRA issue using Confluence?

Hi, I currently have JIRA set up to generate a Confluence page whenever a user creates a new JIRA ticket (using Scriptrunner add-on). However, our users would like to directly edit said Confluence pages and update the corresponding JIRA tickets. Is this possible?

Are you using SR for JIRA or SR for Confluence? What do the users want to edit in JIRA?

I have both installed. I used Scriptrunner for Jira to create a Confluence page whenever Jira creates a new issue by following the example in the documentations (https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/5.1.8/jira/interacting-with-confluence-from-jira.html)

Our users would like to edit the generated Confluence page, which currently consists of a table, and have the values reflected in the Jira ticket. 

I tried experimenting with Remote Events (https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/5.1.8/jira/remote-events.html) but was getting an error saying that the Scriptrunner version is wrong.

Hey Yang,

Out of the box, the JIRA and Confluence integration don't support this at the moment. I had a quick look at the market place and did find an add-on which might suit your needs;

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, our users are not very familiar with Jira and would like to minimize contact with it for now. They would prefer to just edit a plaintext Confluence document and have the changes reflected back in Jira.
