Need some help.
We have several teams at our company and many of them work in sprints, and it seems that sprints that are not active (have not been started) are interfearing with users ability to create new sprints, complete previous sprint, start a new sprint and changing the name of the sprint.
these users all have Manage sprint rights.
I have also gone through the filter query for their board and the filter looks fine
Anyone had this problem and knows a solution?
You probably need more information, just not sure what info you need - please let me know.
We might have figured out what the problem is. We have a service desk project and only agents are supposed to have access to those requests. If that project is added to the filter, those who are working in the sprint cannot complete the sprint, create a new sprint or change the name of a sprint.
The Permission shcheme does not allow anyone to manage sprints on that project. And that I need to fix.
so problem solved.
There are several problems who might cause that.
The most common ones are:
1-If the board filter gives you a warning (Like filter is too complex). You have to update that to a less complex way. (like adding a project name etc)
2-The people are lack of "start Sprint" permission (You need to check all the projects in the boards filter)
Cheers,
Ege Su

Thank you Ege.
The first problem I am aware of, and we have fixed the filters. But I am going to look them over again.
Did not know about the second one. Will look into that.
Best regards
Sigga

Hello again Ege.
Notice that this comes up when I look at the configuration of the Board. Could this be the problem?

This shouldn't been a problem but sure there is no harm to fix this one as well, map the statuses with your board statuses.
When i mention the first problem its board's filter. When you check that one you will see if its too complex or not, it will give you an small error message under the screen.

No the filter seems to be fine, it lists out the projects in the filter

Hello @Sigridur Harpa Hannesdottir
Have you gone through these 2 articles, most of the time it's the cause mentioned in these 2 articles.

Also, explained here if your Sprint is shared between multiple boards (especially if the sprint wasn't created on the current board)
