Are you using any add-on related with Watchers?

Are watchers lost in built-in Jira field or a customfield of an add-on?

No plugin related to Watcher is installed in our jira Instance.

When i am trying to convert Issue: EDM-17110 into sub-task bug

It ask for parent issue name which i have provided as EDM-17111

Just to note both issue have some 8/9 watchers

PFA snapshot edm1 where i have given parent issues name and snapshot edm2 where it is asking me to populated the watchers

We have upgraded to Jira 7.3.8 few months back....edm1.PNGedm2.PNG

Hello,

That's weird. Could you please check for the Watchers field? Do you have a customfield named "Watchers"?

Here Jira documentation says:

If you are required to specify the values for any required custom fields, the Update Fields page is displayed.

Check whether you have Watchers custom field, and its optional/required status in Field configuration scheme. That might give some idea.
