We are looking for seamless Service now - JIRA Integration

Manikanta May 15, 2018

Hi, I'm working on Service now - JIRA Integration. As per the requirement, I believe Rest based integration would not work out for our needs. We basically don't want to create jobs for data sync. So, When ever we make changes to JIRA or service now, it should immediately (1 or 2 mins) reflect the changes in other tools.

Is there any plugin or other methods that suit our requirement?

If you are looking for a bi-directional data sync between JIRA and ServiceNow, Perspectium would be a great solution.

Yes, that is the one that I was referring too.  Have you had any experience with the product?

Take a look at ConnectALL. It does pretty much what you are looking for.

REST is by far the best option for talking to Jira, so I'm not sure why you rule it out.

But, I'd still take a good look at the off-the-shelf options - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=servicenow

Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-

The main concern here is through rest, we have to schedule the jobs and run in maintenance window probably over weekend. We are looking for seamless integration that both systems JIRA and Service now should always in sync.

Appreciate your help and hope to hear back from you :)

For an instant "integration", throw away your scheduled jobs and use the REST interface when you need it.

I have no idea why you think you need scheduled jobs or maintenance windows for REST.  I'm curious as to where you got this (totally wrong) idea from.
