Hi,
i created a project visible for everyone that is not logged in. created a scheme with persmissions. and i seems when not logged in i can see the project and click the crete button for a new issues. but when i try to save the issue, i cannot because it needs the reporter to be filled in and the reporter field is not visible, so i cannot complete it.
what am i doing wrong here ?
regards,
Kurt
Hi @Kurt Callebaut ,
Based on your inputs, refer to this Atlassian documentation:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-allow-users-to-create-issues-anonymously-192551.html
In the above link, make sure that you configure both 2.a and 2.b as highlighted in the below image
Once Reporter is made optional in the field configuration scheme, the issue would be created. I am trying to direct you to the place where the configuration needs to be tweaked so that you can achieve your desired functionality.
Also note that any issue created by a user who is not logged in will display 'Anonymous' for the reporter of the issue.

Ravi Varma

Hi @Kurt Callebaut ,
Please note that for creating an issue, the project, issue type, summary and reporter are mandatory. As you have not logged in, it will not be able to identify you. Once, you log in, it will treat yourself as the reporter and the issue will be created.
As such reporter field will not be available on the Create Issue, unless the field is added to the Create/Edit screen. Even if you want to change the reporter to someone else other than yourself, you need Modify Reporter permission.

Thx for the reply, Ravi.
Though it seems weird to me if i can set permissions to create issues for everyone,
Without login :
i can see the project,
i can see the issues
i can create issues
Only the reporter field is missing. I think it should be autocompleted with "anonymous".
It doesn't seems to be userfriendly at all and it should not allow anonymous users to even press the "create issue" button then.
I wonder how i can let my other reporters in other departments of our company report issues, Its the only thing they should do. In some articles and posts i've red that anonymous users are supported for Jira. But yet again i recieve a "not possible, unless.."
sry, for my complaints, man, thx for your help,
