Hi,
is it possible to extend the information shown about the reporter in a Jira issue?
In a Jira issue when you hover with the mouse over the reporters name a box with further information will be pop up:
Can we extend the information (e. g. telephone number) in this box?

Hello Tim,
No you can't. Jira is not a CRM and does not have a place where to store user information.
There ways most people do this, is, either with apps that connecto to database, or ldap and put the information of the person in the ticket, so the info is not stored on the person but rather on the issue. If someone puts a ticket you get in the same ticket all the infor to resolve it.
Or you could use one of the addons that are used for CMDB, at the end of the day, people are just resources and you can have their information there.
But for this, you will surely need an App.

Next to CMDB apps there are also some CRM apps in the marketplace which allow you to do this.
