issue type is blank and search issue autocomplete invisible in light mode; after 10.3.2 upgrade

Has anyone encountered this issue where the text is not visible in Jira's light mode? The solution is to switch to dark mode, where the text becomes visible.

However, I prefer using light mode.

This problem occurs in two places:

  1. Project settings – Issue types
  2. Autocomplete in the issue navigator.

Hello @Martin E

From my limited experience, visual glitches like invisible text in light mode often stem from UI updates or browser compatibility issues.

Switching to a different browser or clearing the cache can sometimes resolve the problem. If the issue persists, using dark mode as a temporary solution might help until a fix is released.

I suggest reporting the issue to Atlassian support to ensure it’s addressed promptly at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/.

The solution was Look and Feel. Drop-down menu item - text color Colour was #ffffff (white) which is not the default colour. Changing the mode does not adjust these colours, which I consider a shame.

So I used a different colour which works for both the dark and light modes.

Perhaps in new versions one can choose a colour schemes depending on the mode.

It was that simple  :-)  (thanks for Atlassian Support for helping me out here)
