is there an option to send field values for one issue on transition via mail?

Hello Thomas,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Basically, the following fields can be configured through E-mails in JIRA:

- Summary (Subject)

- Description or comment (E-mail body)

- Reporter (E-mail Sender)

- CC: Assignee, Request Participants, Watchers

If you would like to set other fields, there are third-party apps that can be used to achieve it:

Enterprise Mail Handler for Jira (JEMH)

In-Mail Handler PRO

ReceiveMe! - Email handler for Jira

Since Issue transitions through e-mail are only available in Service Desk projects (By commenting in the issue), are you talking about JIRA Service Desk?

If you are talking about JIRA Software, I believe your question would be to check if you can add values to the issue fields when commenting/creating a ticket. Is it correct?

Hi, Petterson,
when closing a ticket in Jira Software, I would like to send data from fields by e-mail. The data is to be processed later by another tool.
