Regarding Time tracking

Hi There,

I have a problem in understanding about the users reports in JIRA.

We have few users in our organization who logs for tasks, but we at the management wanted to track if the employees production hours been utilized properly for the estimated hours. 

Is there any option for us to generate a report or view in JIRA with respect to each assignee's tasks and the hours logged by each on tasks for the day, for eg: Person A, would have worked on multiple tasks for the day i.e 8hrs of production, but I wanted to see if he has logged that 8 hours in JIRA for the tasks he has worked or lesser than that.  This would help us in monitoring the tasks as well the production hours effectiveness.

So any help on this issue would be much helpful. Please help me out here.

Hey @Sathish Kumar,

you could also check out the Exply add-on, where you can create custom reports to show you all billable times, categorised by customer, project, team, member, etc.

Sure Team, will check on it. But just a quick info, can i generate a report of each assignee's hours that he has logged in for the day though he has worked on multiple tasks ??.

Not at the moment - we are working on special viewer which will help to report these information. It will be similar to this in our other add-on, Status History PRO.

Hi @Sathish Kumar,

I am not sure if JIRA can give you this. I would suggest looking into a time tracking and reporting plugin such as Tempo Timesheets.

Thanks for the reply Danny. I'm going through the Tempo time sheets reviews but do you have any idea will it serve my purpose of getting a report for individual users for the day though they worked on multiple tasks ??.

Yes, this should do. See the screenshot.

The plugin uses filter so it can be as granular as you would like it.

I would suggest trialling the plugin and see if this is the correct fit for you.
