Renaming a custom field - does it affect filters?

Hi All,

we got a request of changing a custom field's name but we are not aware of filters that apply this custom field.

My question is: what will happen to those filters that apply this field after renaming?

+question: is there a script which returns the filters for a particular custom field? I.e. listing those filters that apply the custom field.

Hello,

If you change the customfield name, the filters will stop working, complaining that the field does not exist.

You can change all the filters directly on the database to apply the new customfield name.

The above bug was rejected. I've created a 'suggestion' with an alternative approach to support renaming of custom fields by at least telling the administrator what filters will be impacted.
