Repetitive tasks in Kanban

Mary Hemphill February 7, 2019

I'm creating a Kanban board for BAU. Some of the work the team does will be done more than once, based on requests. Is there a way to create a template, so that I can add the same 7 tasks for each request? (I searched the other similar inquiries, but wasn't sure that this was the same question.) Thanks in advance.

Hi @Mary Hemphill,

what @Alexey Matveev said is correct, you can use a plugin with some code. However, you can also try the External System Import. If you always create the same repetitive tasks, you can import them in CSV file.

You can have more information in this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/importing-data-from-csv-938847533.html

Hope it works!

Thank you! I'll check this out if we don't have the plugin that @homoluden [cPrime]suggested.  Appreciate both your time!

Hello,

You would need a plugin for it.

For example, you could use the Power Scripts add-on:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/43318/power-scripts-jira-script-automation?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

You could create a post function with a code, which would create new tasks. You would use this method:

Thank you! I'll see if we have that plugin.
