Show attachment images in email?

Anyone know of a way to display attachments in email notifications? Currently, the name of the attached file shows in the email notification, but I'd like the image, or a thumbnail of the image to appear.

the only way I know is to add it manually

For example.. if you inclued an image as an attachment, you would need to add

!image.jpg! 

in your comment. You might also need to have wiki mode enabled in the Field Configuration for the comments field.

Thanks, but I was hoping for a more "automated" way. Not sure all of our users would do this everytime they submitting something for approvals.
