Hi there,

I have a shared channel with Jira Server Slack integration, but when I invoke the command /jira_server #issue, it shows "Sorry, I couldn't understand this command..."

Are there any workarounds for that?

Hi @Guilherme M

The Jira Server for Slack app does not resolve issue information in shared channels by default. That's intentional, a precaution to prevent that users inadvertently share internal information with other orgs.

It's possible, however, change that behavior. According to the documentation, a Jira administrator should do the following:

  1. Go to the Slack configuration in Jira Administration > Applications > Slack or Project Settings > Slack integration.
  2. Open on the ... menu.
  3. Click Advanced Settings.
  4. Toggle Issue preview for externally shared channels on.
  5. Click Save.

Hope that helps. Cheers!
