Some Jira APIs Not Working

Greetings,

I am trying to access Jira APIs, some of them work, and some (the ones I really need) do not work. All of our Atlassian applications are accessed using the university's standard IDP login page. I am able to log in and have some of the APIs work as explained below.

The standard Jira API path should be at /rest/api/. However, for my university environment the path is at /api/. For example:

1. https://build.s.university.edu/api/latest/server
2. https://jira.university.edu/api/latest/issue/JRA-9

So I can successfully call these APIs using our path...

https://jira.university.edu/api/latest/issue/ABC-747

https://jira.university.edu/api/latest/project/ABC

BUT, when I try to call the following API endpoint (and others found here: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/software/rest/api-group-board/#api-group-board) they do not work, I get a 404...

https://jira.university.edu/api/latest/board/123

What do I need to do to be able to call all Jira APIs? Why do some work and others don't?

Hi @Keith ,

probably you are using cloud api but your instance seems to be a server/data center.

Try to use the following apis https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/9.4.0/

Thanks so much @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ , it does indeed look like we're using a server instance and this is the version?

/data/atlassian/atlassian-jira-software-8.20.11-standalone/bin

Thanks for the link, those APIs seem to be working, but the API I expected to see/am looking to use is one associated with Kanban Boards.

The scenario is that I would like to return all issues/tickets seen on a specific Kanban Board (and filter for status).

Does this 'board' API exist for our server? I see it in other APIs.

That is a server or datacenter version.

Update: In case this helps someone else, the reason some APIs are not working for our environment (se above) is because our environment only allows these generic API...

 so the /board call is not an option.
